Education

Dr. Chauncey attended Las Vegas High School where he graduated as Valedictorian in 2008. He had a great experience there and still feels great pride in being a Wildcat!

Following graduation from high school, Dr. Chauncey moved to Provo, UT where he attended Brigham Young University. After his first year at BYU, he decided to put a pause on his education to serve a two year mission in the Philippines. He loved his time there and is still fluent in Tagalog today!

He returned to BYU in 2012 and completed his education, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2015. He majored in public health with an emphasis in health science.

After graduating from college, Dr. Chauncey returned home to Las Vegas to attend the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. He excelled as a dental student earning multiple awards and honors including being inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNLV in 2019.

Following graduation from UNLV, Dr. Chauncey moved to New Orleans, LA where he attended orthodontic residency at the LSU Health Sciences Center. He again excelled in his education, earning the J. Jerome Hebert Award as the most outstanding resident in the class following his first year. Then, at graduation, he was awarded the James P. Bordelon Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Orthodontics, a distinction chosen by the faculty and given to the top clinical resident in the graduating class; a high honor.

After residency, Dr. Chauncey decided to take his education even further and pursue Board Certification. He showed the skills and knowledge required to provide top notch care and earned Board Certification through the American Board of Orthodontists, a distinction given to only around half of practicing orthodontists, in 2022.

Personal Life

Dr. Chauncey met his wife, Kailee, while attending college in Utah. They were married in 2013 and have three sons. Cooper, McKay, and Cam bring so much joy to the Chauncey household and are their dad’s favorite little buddies.

Dr. Chauncey and Kailee loved their time in New Orleans and in Alabama where Dr. Chauncey spent the first year of his career practicing orthodontics. They’ll always cherish their years in the south but the opportunity to move home and be near family was something they couldn’t pass up. They’re excited to raise their boys in the Las Vegas area where they have so many fond memories from their own childhoods.

If you know Dr. Chauncey, you know the only thing that comes close to his love for his family, is his love for Georgia Bulldogs football. He and Kailee had the opportunity to watch the Dawgs win the 2021 and 2022 national championships in person and he considers those nights to be some of the best memories of his life! He is always up for a good college football discussion.

Dr. Chauncey is laid back and easy going and he hopes you feel this during your visits to the office!
